Welcome to twitter basics as promised, this is part one of a three part series I will be posting for you to go live with your own Twitter account. For those already involved in your tweets, part two and three will be more technical with automation and tracking by using Twitter.
If you are trying to promote your website, another great option is to utilize social networking platforms. One of the most popular and easy to use social sites is twitter. Using twitter to drive traffic to your website is easy. You can set up an account in just a few easy steps. If you are using your account strictly for driving traffic to your website, pay attention to the url you create. It needs to contain the name of your website, usually wrapped in a tiny url. Doing this makes it easy for people to find your the item or product you want found on your website. You should also include a direct link to your website in your profile. You need to optimize your twitter profile by including a short bio about your website. Mention a few specifics about your site and summarize what it is about. Social networks are a great way to keep in touch with large groups of people in one space, kind of like your email client only more visual. Face book however allows all people to be logged in allowing quick chats, multiple chat, and post streams with tons of images and video to take up your time. Do I use Social Networking alone for an Aggressive Internet Marketing campaign? In simple terms no, though it is part of my over all marketing plan. There are many services that offer it, touting its the only way and this will bring you business. Before you spend your money ask how it ties in with the online marketing plan as a whole. please describe exactly how this will translate into sales and the time needed to make it happen for an positive ROI. I do see social networking taking a part in driving online traffic to a site, a great single place for many to gather information, and more. Social networking has a place in today’s online marketing as a whole. I just don’t see it as a primary marketing avenue for results or cost per click for your business. Quality clicks or visits to your website take time to get, no matter what method you choose. There is no magic button to press that will drive hoards of traffic to your website. In my humble opinion time is best spent creating quality content on a well designed website, then get listed every where you can with the right keywords for your product or service, tell the world who you are and why you do the voodoo that you do from the social networks with RSS and auto feeds allowing you to enter once place and post to many. With a little time spent each day over a period of time you can build quite a following. Like any other list, a percentage will buy what you sell or tell other about it bringing in conversion. What internet marketing ROI ultimately comes down to is how much time do you need to put in to get the profits back out? I personally use social networks to keep in touch with my family. Since they are all online and all use Face book this keeps things simple. This does not stop me however from inserting keywords here and there on well ranked pages which help push my other websites up the page on Google, Yahoo, and Bing among other search engines for better SERP results.

Hello all, or none it does not really matter does it? I will continue either way. I have had the usual sleep deprivation and over working you would expect of a Jaffe. Last week I almost made 48 hours strait, this week I passed it. With suck little sleep everyone always asks how do you get anything done? Are you tired all the time? My reply as always, what else is there to do when you can,t sleep, I work on my websites and yours, then read books till I eventually pass out for a bit. Lately I have had the pleasure of my right hand going painfully numb with stabbing pain, I always said pain is pleasure, or maybe it’s you cant have one without the other. Seams I have a pinched nerve in my neck or arm trying to take me down this time. Well sorry nerve. The nerve of this nerve! Cant feel my hand, but I know where the keys are so whatever….. I spoke with a doctor twice this week and will get patched up next week today like most Fridays are a ridiculous race to complete all projects for the week so I can start fresh swamped on Monday and do it all again next week like all of you. Though if my hand getts fixed next week I guess things will be looking up at least in the my hand hurts like like hell department.
Things to look forward to I will be taking my Son Alexander down to meet up with my father and Step mom in Weston Florida next weekend. We will all be going to a museum. Nothing like a bunch of stuff laid out to peruse over while walking about with family or friends. I do love museums, though I am unsure if Joan will make it pleasure or pain as she hates them. 
Once again pleasure and pain in all aspects of the week. I will be swapping out the new LCD TV in the living room, I know you just put it up. Well the TV is not big enough, I cant watch without my glasses and that’s annoying. I have used it twice in the two months it has been up. I do not really watch TV any way, that’s my little sisters job who has been living with us for a few months. I do however like to work in the living room and when I work I leave the TV on for noise and if something good shows up I may want to watch hence the bigger TV install. The playground project with pea gravel and landscaping timber has been completed for a few weeks and has seen much use. Alexander loves it and always wants to invite friends over to play out side.
Enough about me how are the companies? Well grandpa the companies are doing well. this year is off to a great start!
