Just another manic Monday?

It’s Monday morning here at Jejtek.com a computer repair & website design company in beautiful port saint lucie Florida.  The phone is ringing, the days service calls are scheduled, did you say good morning to your wife, son, or daughter?  I did, it is always the nicest part of the day besides coming home to them.  Like every one else who works from home or runs their own business, things get crazy on Mondays.  Today I have to be in three cities for computer repair, network repair, and server backups.  Some time today I have to publish two websites that were completed, then start design work for another companies website to start coding this week.  To top it all off, I have one surveillance camera install quote and one power box replacement for a really bad wire install which fried the power box from live bare wire to ground.  And yes I found it by getting electrocuted by it. I guess any one can and will say they are an expert in the covert or overt camera installs these days.  Don’t get me wrong, I by no means am complaining.  In a market like this its great to be busy, things did get crazy after 30 percent of my companies closed from being in the building industry.  I had just about all the major home builders and there suppliers as customers for years before the housing bust and then one year they all went under. I few were lucky and had good business models or savvy owners and were able to weather the storm like www.tntbuilders.com, www.marbleunlimited.com, jctkc.com, pbmdevelopment.com and a few others with out websites.  What did I do to replace my lost revenue you ask? Well thanks to my loyal customers over the last ten years, I really did not do much. I have a steady steam of calls come in each week with complaints of there current network admins or a problem that has gone on for years and now provide service for other companies to replace the open slots in my weeks. I will be listing a full customer and website design and website hosting list in the coming days keep an eye out. Any how, I was now freed up to take on more work and spend more time at home with the family.  This was not really a bad thing in my eyes, I had been upset prior to this about not getting enough time home with my wife and son Alexander for those who do not know his name.  I now get to be home for dinner nightly due to the large increase of website work, I get to work from home more often as well to over see projects and even code when I have the time.

New projects completing this week are Atlanticgrovechiro.com we did all the structured cable and network re installation to expand the local network 50%, also completing this week is the rework of the surveillance and computer network for the former Old Town Tavern. OTT will be getting a new name in December for a grand reopening with new ownership, new chef and new staff.  Let me see who else is getting wrapped up this week, John Daily with Living in style (www.livinginstyle.tv) and East Shore Productions (www.eastshoreproductions.com) Marketing and SEO for better Google ratings, they even listened and had a word press site created for the productions team, check it out www.eastshoreproductions.com.  There are a few others but its time to run, more to come later with my face lift on this site along with photos of the jobs.

So what is the point of my morning rant you ask? I spent the whole weekend raking and shoving weeds and rocks from my back yard to get the back yard ready for the completion of our play set, which has been sitting half built for over two months.  I got very sick and was unable to complete it, now I am ready to finish the task. I threw out 36 full hefty bags of weeds and dead sod which I removed from the yard, along with tons of dirt that was piled up back there.  My hands and legs are simple put ouch! But like every one else I will trooper on, at least I have my long drive south an hour plus to the first stop enjoying my music, which today will be techno/trance to keep my head up through my sleepiness. In the end its all worth it!

All for the fun of hearing my son tell every one he will be having a HOT DOG party as soon as my daddy and I finish the playground. His words to all in Home Depot and every where else one would listen was, and I quote “My daddy and I are finishing the play ground in the back yard and then my friends from school are coming over so we can have a hot dog party.”

Ok as an adult sounds funny, maybe even a statement I never want to hear or any of you want to here come out of your sons mouth. When its your 3 year year old child saying it, to funny not to smile and hug the little dude.  Alexander even dictated a party list of the food which was hot dogs and water melon, to my wife Joan with the words come on mom just write what I say.
